House cleaning checklist

A house cleaning checklist for one session: pick the rooms in the order you'll clean them and how much time you have. You get one list, top to bottom, with rough minutes for every task. In each room it goes tidy, dust, surfaces, floors. Tasks are added until your time is used up, and the rest wait under “Next time”. Tick them off on screen, or print the list.

Which rooms, in the order you'll clean them?

How much time do you have?

Tasks are added until the time is used up.

Anything else? (optional)

A job the list doesn't have, with its minutes. It goes after the rooms.

How the checklist works

One order in every room

Each room's tasks follow the same order: tidy, then dust, then wipe surfaces, then floors last. Rooms come in the order you tapped them, and any tasks of your own come after the rooms.

It fits the time you have

Pick 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 hr, 1 hr 30 min or 2 hr. Tasks go on the list while the running total still fits. From the first task that doesn't fit, the rest move to “Next time”, in order, so next time you start where you stopped.

Daily and weekly jobs only

The checklist is for a regular clean. Monthly jobs, like clearing out the fridge or vacuuming under the bed, live in the cleaning schedule, which spreads them over 4 weeks.

Ticks stay on the screen

Tick a task and it's crossed out. Ticks aren't saved: reload the page and the list is gone.
